TROUBLESHOOTING

Use 2/18 AWG wire (any type)  NON-SHIELDED, NO SLICES

(different or shielded wire will shorten range and create video and audio distortions)

System dead (no audio/video)

Red LED  (left) is OFF:                    Bad power supply or bad connection to the back plate

Red LED is ON                               Bad monitor

When a monitor or camera are bad ”out of the box“ the full system including accessories has to be returned to your distributor to be exchanged with a brand new NL3000.            

Monitor will not ring and                 Check that camera is connected to DR1 at the back

turn ON                                         plate of the main monitor (2nd camera to DR2)

                                                                        ( C1, C2, C3 are terminals for the optional dome        

                                                       cameras for indoor monitoring)

No set-up screen on Monitor       If connections OK, it is a bad monitor                  .

No video, bad video, no audio         If Red LED is ON, bad monitor or camera. The                 

bad audio                                        volume control at the monitor is controlling the    

                                                        volume of the monitor speaker only in the 

                                                        monitoring mode only but not the handset or buzzer

The yellow LED is blinking           Set date on Set-up mode. View all pictures

Door strike will not work               Check that the jumper at the back of the camera 

                                                         connects the middle and lower row of pins (when

                                                         using the 12 VDC output) and between the upper

                                                         and middle row (when using the NO output).

                                                         Turn the system ON, pickup the handset, push the          

                                                         monitor’s middle button. Check the DC voltage at

                                                         at cameras door release terminals. If you get                                        

                                                         12 – 15 VDC the problem is not related to NL3000
                                                         Replace both camera and monitor.

SubMonitor

Bad/No Audio                                 Check connections at preceding monitor/ SM      

Bad/No Video                                 (OUT + to IN +, OUT –to IN-).
